Hungarian electrical wholesaler Daniella speeds up its intralogistics workflows and customer service with an automatized warehouse system.
The company opened its logistics center near Budapest in Nagytarcsa in 2021. It was designed to be the most advanced and innovative warehouse on the Hungarian electrical wholesale market. Daniella Ltd. employs nearly 400 people and last year its revenue exceeded HUF 34 billion.
The 12,000 square meter, two-story warehouse in Nagytarcsa reaches up to 12 meters and has an almost 20,000 crate capacity. The loading and unloading the crates in the warehouse, made up of 23 rows and 70 columns, has so far been done by manual power. This monotonous manual labor has been automated with a warehouse solution developed and manufactured in Hungary. The heart of the system is the six loading robots, which load and unload the more than 10,000 articles in the warehouse at high speed.
This has not only allowed Daniella to speed up their intralogistics and internal administrative processes, but has also significantly reduced the number of errors and overtime. The eight employees previously working in this area have been retained and redeployed to other areas of activity with higher added value.
The system was delivered by LOG-X Ltd., which used Siemens technology for the intralogistics solutions. Siemens equipment controls the precision movement of the six loading machines, supports the communication between the machines and the central unit, and a continuous Wi-Fi connection ensures lightning-fast execution. The touch-screen displays needed to operate the system were also provided by LOG-X.
