A new position, titled Deputy CEO for Space and Defence Technologies, was created at 4iG Group, effective from 1 January 2025. Te position is filled by Dr. István Sárhegyi.
Dr. István Sárhegyi is currently CEO of 4iG Space and Defence Technology Zrt., that belongs to the holding company, 4iG Group. 4iG Space and Defence is the first Hungarian privately-owned large enterprise targeting the space and defence sector with the aim of becoming a leading technology and service provider in this field. The company focuses on the development and production of space, satellite and UAV technologies, as well as drone defense and defense digitalisation services. Dr. István Sárhegyi as Deputy CEO for 4iG Space and Defence Technologies will perform his duties under the direct supervision of the CEO of 4iG Group.
The new CEI is also a member of the Board of Directors of HungaroDigiTel, Rotors & Cams Zrt. and co-founder and Chairman of REMRED Zrt. He holds a Bachelor of Business and Management from Corvinus University of Budapest and a Master of Law from Eötvös Loránd University. As a scholarship student of the European Space Agency (ESA), he participated in the Space Research Program of the International Space University. In 2021, he joined 4iG Group as Chairman’s Advisor and in 2022 he became Chief of Staff to the Chairman.
